Get ready for your best season of skiing with our new Pilates Dry-Land Training for Skiers and Boarders taught by Emma on Tuesdays at 7:30 a.m. and Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. beginning on October 6. This eight-week progressive program will use Pilates equipment for biomechanical training to dynamically move in the wide variety of positions unique to skiing. We’ll also incorporate functional circuit training to increase the endurance and power necessary for a full day on the slopes.

The training goals of our Pilates Dry-Land Training program are to:

  • Recruit power from the hips and for improved endurance
  • Gain full hip movement for improved edge-control of skis and boards
  • Increase core strength to reduce the impact on the back, hips and knees
  • Improve balance for increased agility in changing conditions and to reduce falls
