Each body presents a puzzle in front of us.

Some of our clients are professional athletes looking to prevent future injuries, correct minute imbalances and counter over training in their sport specific expertise. Others are over 60, they may have always struggled with weight and plaguing injuries. There is the fit older golf fanatic, who wants to gain flexibility and strength. The 12-year-old with scoliosis, already experiencing back pain in everyday life. The working mom, who slides on her reformer with a minute to spare, wanting to stay in shape as her kids start passing her up on the slopes and mountain bike rides. The gentleman who had back surgery 4 weeks ago. Bodies with hip, knee and shoulder replacements. The client who wants greater body awareness. One commonality amongst them all, they want to be better than they were the day before!

Everybody that walks in the door is unique, just as unique on the outside as they are on the inside. It’s our job to unravel the puzzle, not just teach exercises to the body, but rather teach the body that shows up in front of us on any given day. The fun part is teaching that present body, with the one question in mind, how can I make them better in the next hour I’m fortunate enough to get to spend with them?

That’s what your Pilates instructor should be thinking. A gifted instructor can see the imbalances, see the restrictions in movement, reach into their tool box of experience and pull out the appropriate tools. Experience counts when choosing a studio and an instructor.

Pilates is for everybody and every body with any given goal in mind. Let us help you be your best!
